The phone was forgotten in Mamoru’s bedroom, and when he finally realized it, he was furious. He sent Abe, the manager of his favorite tavern, to his house to pick it up.
The next day, Abe arrived with the phone in hand, but there was no one at home except for Mamoru’s wife. Abe was persistent and asked if he could leave the phone with her. But Mamoru’s wife refused, and Abe, frustrated, left the phone on the table.
As Mamoru was away, Heki was sitting at the kitchen table, deep in thought. He was troubled by the news of Abe’s visit and the situation with Mamoru’s wife. Heki had a feeling that something was about to change, and he couldn’t shake the feeling of excitement and anger.
