The husband, a hardworking and dedicated employee, had always been keen on advancing his career in the construction industry. He had just been promoted to section chief, a position he had worked hard for and one that came with great responsibility. But one day, during on-site supervision, he suffered an injury.
His boss, Mr. Murakami, heard about the incident and came to visit the husband. Mr. Murakami was known for being a tough boss and had a reputation for not being easy to please. But he had one request – he wanted the husband to take the blame for the accident and resign from his position.
The husband, who had just been promoted, was caught off guard by Mr. Murakami’s demand. He had worked hard for this promotion and did not want to let his boss down. But he also did not want to put his family in danger. He knew that if he took the blame and resigned, he would be out of a job and his family would be left without any income.
