It was a sunny Saturday and I was feeling on top of the world. I had just won the big case at work, and my boss had even taken me out to dinner to celebrate. But little did I know, that same night, my husband would be playing a game with his boss and his wife.
I didn’t find out about it until the next day, when I arrived home to find my husband and his boss at the dining table, laughing and joking. They both looked guilty and avoided my eyes, and when I asked what was going on, they just brushed it off as a simple game.
But I could tell something was wrong. My husband’s boss had never played a game with us before, and he was acting strange. I asked my husband about it again, and he claimed it was just a normal game, nothing to worry about. But I knew something was up.
That night, I couldn’t sleep. I kept seeing the two of them playing the game, laughing and joking, as if they were the best of friends. I felt betrayed and angry. How could they do this to me? Why were they playing a game with his boss, when we were supposed to be spending time together as a couple?
