Takeshi, a single mother, cherished the moments spent with her neighbor, Nana, especially on the days when her mother had to work late. Takeshi, a young girl with a deep admiration for Nana, treasured the solitude they shared until Nana’s husband returned home each evening.
One fateful day, Takeshi found herself feeling downcast after losing a game at her club activity. Sensing her friend’s distress, Nana proposed a game of hide-and-seek to lift Takeshi’s spirits. They decided to play alternately, taking turns being the seeker and the hider.
As the sun dipped below the horizon and Nana’s husband’s return drew near, Nana came up with a mischievous idea. She suggested that they hide from her husband together, making the game more thrilling. Takeshi, intrigued by the idea, eagerly agreed.
