Nao had been a widow for several years, raising her son alone. She had always done her best to provide for him, but the coldness he had shown her since he was a young child had always left her feeling like a failure as a mother.
One day, however, things began to change. Her son suddenly began treating her with a newfound kindness, and Nao was overjoyed. She had always hoped that one day he would come to see her as more than just his mother, but she had never expected it to happen so suddenly.
As Nao was enjoying this newfound relationship with her son, she received a surprise. A friend of her son’s revealed that he had a girlfriend, and that the two of them were an item. Nao was devastated, feeling like her son had betrayed her by falling in love with someone else.
