Hope and “I” were Teenage friends who had grown up together in the same small town. Hope was fiercely independent, refusing to follow whatever her family wanted – but underneath it all she and “I” were both aware of their growing awareness of each other as men and women.
One weekend, both of their parents suddenly decided to leave on a neighborhood association trip and asked Hope to come along. Knowing that they would have the two day period all to themselves with nobody around, Hope refused to go; instead choosing to stay at home with “I”. But what was meant to be a peaceful couple of days soon changed into something else entirely.
