I was alone in the room, my heart racing as I took in my surroundings. The walls were dark and the air smelled stale. I heard a faint noise coming from outside and knew that whatever it was had brought me here.
My mind raced with questions but one stood out above them all: why me? What did this mysterious man want with me?
I heard footsteps coming closer and soon enough, he entered the room. He just stared at me for what felt like an eternity before finally speaking. His voice was ice cold as he told me his name, which sounded vaguely familiar, yet I still couldn’t place where I knew him from.
