It was a quiet afternoon in the small town of Kawagoe, a few months after Naoki’s father had brought Ami home. Naoki and his new wife, Ami, had settled into a routine, and the three of them had become a happy family.
But one day, Naoki noticed something was off. Ami seemed distant and withdrawn, and he couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong. He asked her about it, and she broke down in tears.
It turned out that Ami had always hoped to have a family of her own, but now that she was married to Naoki and had a child with him, she felt like she had given up on that dream. She was lonely and sad, and she felt like she was living a life that wasn’t hers.
