Yumi sat in her husband’s car, staring at the now-closed restaurant in disbelief. It had been three years since her former boss, Araki, had left the company, and she had not seen him since. But here he was, standing outside of the small restaurant he had opened, waiting for her.
She had never been able to shake the feelings she had had for him. The way he looked at her with those piercing eyes, the way he always seemed to know what she was thinking. It had been a fantasy, she had told herself. But now, standing here in front of him, she knew that it had not been just a fantasy.
As Yumi approached the restaurant, Araki stepped forward, taking her hand and pulling her into a tight embrace. Yumi felt her body respond instantly, her heart racing as she was enveloped in Araki’s scent. She knew that she should push him away, that this was wrong, that she had a husband and children at home.
