Yuna walked into her father-in-law’s house, carrying a basket of fresh vegetables from her garden. She had come to visit her father-in-law, Toru, who had been injured in a recent accident. Toru had been a close friend of her husband’s family, and Yuna had always enjoyed spending time with him.
As she entered the living room, she was surprised to see Toru sitting on the couch, surrounded by stacks of books and papers. Toru’s injury had left him unable to work, and he had taken to reading as a way to pass the time.
