Chiaki had no other option but to accept the offer. His father’s debt was increasing day by day, and their financial situation was getting worse. They were living in sheer poverty, and Chiaki was exhausted from the fear of the men in black who came to collect money every day. He knew that if this continued, his family would end up on the streets.
As fate would have it, Chiaki’s savior came in the form of Tsurugi, the collector himself. Tsurugi offered Chiaki a deal – work as a maid under her and repay the debt in exchange for his family’s safety. Chiaki was torn between his pride and his family’s well-being, but he knew he had to make a tough decision.
