Our family inn was a place of comfort and warmth for both locals and travelers alike. I grew up helping my parents run the inn, and as I got older, I started volunteering my time to help out in any way I could. One of my favorite places to be was in the garden at home, where I would spend hours tending to the plants and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Little did I know, this is where I would meet the girls who would change my life forever.
One stormy day, a group of girls came to seek shelter at our inn. They were students who had been caught in the heavy rain and were seeking refuge from the harsh weather. As I offered them warm towels and hot tea, I couldn’t help but notice the bruises and cuts on their arms and legs.
